The trip to the surgeon on Thu...Saturday October 2

The trip to the surgeon on Thursday had mixed results. He said her knee was coming along fine. But still swollen and somewhat stiff. So he authorized physical therapy for several weeks. Just around the corner so a 50 mile round trip. We had taken daughter Sharon in for her therapy on Thursday also, so went over and was able to get both of them scheduled at the same times. Three trips next week, so that means we won't be able to attend the rally of the Tennessee Unit of the Avion Travelcade Club. OH WELL, her leg is more important and we MUST attend the Rendezvous in Chattanooga the following week.

So other that running the roads, we have been mostly relaxing. I have been doing some of the usual cleanup and maintenance chores around the trailer and truck.

That is about all to report at this time. Have a good weekendAndy W2UCZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11059202507332504990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7397250.post-1096503845367469122004-09-29T20:24:00.000-04:002004-09-29T20:24:00.000-04:00Wednesday September 29

In the evening we got work that Deb Johnson from our church was struck by a car in front of their house and was taken to hospital. Loretta called another church member today and undestand that she wasn't too seriously injured, but sure she can use all the prayers she can get.

Then yesterday there was a blood drive at Richland High School. Sharon and Loretta cannot donate, but I do every chance I get. So we went there a bit after 8AM expecting a quick stop. But my system wanted to be stubborn and it took quite a while to get barely enough. So it was almost 10 when we got back on the road and Sharon was due for therapy in Columbia at 10. We arrived about 15 minutes late and while she was there, we did some shopping. Back to take her to the Outpatient Center of Maury Regional Hospital for some lab work before stopping for lunch.

Today I went to Columbia alone. This time for a root canal. It went surprisingly fast and was in the chair about 2 hours. But that was long enough to lay in a head-down position with my mouth open. Tomorrow a trip back to Columbia with Loretta for follow-up visit to her surgeon.

Each round trip is about 50 miles, so really making the fuel companies happy, HIAndy W2UCZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11059202507332504990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7397250.post-1096241471587620812004-09-26T19:31:00.000-04:002004-09-26T19:31:00.000-04:00Sunday September 26

They had the monthly breakfast before church and I woke her in time to go. But she passed that up then Sunday School. Finally she told me to go to church alone. Everyone there was inquiring about her and sent concerns. When I got home she seemed to be better and prepared lunch for me as all of her family have gone elsewhere today. Later she did laundry which didn't seem to bother too much either. Later son Dave and Kathy came up from next door on their motorcycle for a visit. Then as everybody was returning went back to the house so nurse/daughter Sharon can inspect the leg.Andy W2UCZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11059202507332504990noreply@blogger.com
